Who are we?
We are a Scout troop for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. We meet usually every Monday night, have at least 1 troop activity a month, and have 1 patrol activity every 3 months. Our sponsor is VFW Post #318 who encourages our troop to be inclusive of all faiths (including agnostic & atheist), genders and abilities.
What Do We Do?
We help our community, enjoy and protect the outdoors, and learn how to become active members in our society while pursing interests including:
- Camping
- Canoeing
- Conservation
- Community Service Projects
- Emergency Preparedness
- Engineering
- Kayaking
- Science
- Technology
Regular Activities
- Annual Weeklong Adventure Trip for older scouts alternating between kayaking and backpacking
- Annual Short Adventure trip for younger scouts alternating between kayaking and backpacking
- Annual weeklong scout summer camp
- Community emergency preparedness and response support
- Annual major conservation project benefiting the local community
- 3 awards ceremonies a year
- Regular events promoting science, technology, engineering and math exploration.
